All Devas gathered here as a group (Thogai) to witness the cosmic marriage of Lord Madhava.
According to the Sthala Puranam and ancient Sri Vaishnava Agamas, Divya Desam #38 (Thirori / Thiruthevanarthogai) is revered as a sacred kshetram in Chola Nadu. The presiding deity, Lord Devanayaka Perumal (Madhava), graces devotees in Ninra (Standing) posture facing East beneath the sacred Sobhana Vimanam, accompanied by Goddess Kadalmagal Nachiyar. Holy dips or prostrations near the Sobhana Pushkarani are believed to bestow peace, prosperity, and Moksha. Throughout the centuries, Chola, Pandya, Pallava, and Vijayanagara rulers contributed मंडपम्स (mandapams), gopurams, and stone inscriptions preserving the daily Pancharatra / Vaikhanasa Agama worship.

ஸ்தல புராணத்தின்படி, திவ்ய தேசம் #38 (திருத்தேவனார்தொகை (கீழச்சாலை)) சோழ நாடு பகுதியில் அமைந்த மிகப் புராதனமான வைணவத் திருத்தலமாகும். இத்தலத்தில் மூலவர் தேவநாயகப் பெருமாள் (மாதவப் பெருமாள்) (Ninra (Standing) திருக்கோலம்) மற்றும் தாயார் கடல்மகள் நாச்சியார் ஆகியோர் Sobhana Vimanam கீழ் எழுந்தருளி பக்தர்களுக்கு அருள்பாலிக்கின்றனர். இங்குள்ள புனித தீர்த்தமான Sobhana Pushkarani கரையில் வழிபடுவது சகல பாவங்களையும் நீக்கி நல்வாழ்வு அளிக்கும் என்பது ஐதீகம்.
