Thiru Paramapadam (Sri Vaikuntham) — Divya Desam #108

Divya Desam #108 • Vinnulaga Divya Desam (Celestial Realm)
•••
The 108th and ultimate Divya Desam — Sri Vaikuntham (Paramapadam), the eternal abode of liberation attained by Nammazhwar and all Muktas after crossing the Viraja River.

According to the Sthala Puranam and ancient Sri Vaishnava Agamas, Divya Desam #108 (Thiru Paramapadam (Sri Vaikuntham)) is revered as a sacred kshetram in Vinnulaga Divya Desam. The presiding deity, Lord Paramapada Nathan, graces devotees in Irundha (Seated on Anantha) posture facing South beneath the sacred Ananthaanga Vimanam, accompanied by Goddess Periya Pirattiyar (Sridevi, Bhoodevi, Neeladevi). Holy dips or prostrations near the Viraja Nadhi, Airavata Saras are believed to bestow peace, prosperity, and Moksha. Throughout the centuries, Chola, Pandya, Pallava, and Vijayanagara rulers contributed मंडपम्स (mandapams), gopurams, and stone inscriptions preserving the daily Pancharatra / Vaikhanasa Agama worship.
