Lord Vishnu appeared in a coral-red complexion (Pavala Vannam); faces Thiruppacchoor (Kanchi Kamakshi area).
According to the Sthala Puranam and ancient Sri Vaishnava Agamas, Divya Desam #55 (Thiruppavalavannam (Kanchipuram)) is revered as a sacred kshetram in Thondai Nadu. The presiding deity, Lord Pavalavannar Perumal, graces devotees in Ninra (Standing) posture facing West beneath the sacred Pravala Vimanam, accompanied by Goddess Pavalavalli Thayar. Holy dips or prostrations near the Chakra Theertham are believed to bestow peace, prosperity, and Moksha. Throughout the centuries, Chola, Pandya, Pallava, and Vijayanagara rulers contributed मंडपम्स (mandapams), gopurams, and stone inscriptions preserving the daily Pancharatra / Vaikhanasa Agama worship.

ஸ்தல புராணத்தின்படி, திவ்ய தேசம் #55 (திருப்பவளவண்ணம் (காஞ்சிபுரம்)) தொண்டை நாடு பகுதியில் அமைந்த மிகப் புராதனமான வைணவத் திருத்தலமாகும். இத்தலத்தில் மூலவர் பவளவண்ணப் பெருமாள் (Ninra (Standing) திருக்கோலம்) மற்றும் தாயார் பவளவல்லி தாயார் ஆகியோர் Pravala Vimanam கீழ் எழுந்தருளி பக்தர்களுக்கு அருள்பாலிக்கின்றனர். இங்குள்ள புனித தீர்த்தமான Chakra Theertham கரையில் வழிபடுவது சகல பாவங்களையும் நீக்கி நல்வாழ்வு அளிக்கும் என்பது ஐதீகம்.
