8th-century Pallava architectural masterpiece built by Nandivarman II with three stacked sanctums (Sitting, Reclining, Standing).

According to the Sthala Puranam and ancient Sri Vaishnava Agamas, Divya Desam #56 (Thirupparameswara Vinnagaram (Vaikuntha Perumal)) is revered as a sacred kshetram in Thondai Nadu. The presiding deity, Lord Paramapada Nathan (Vaikunthanathan), graces devotees in Irundha, Kidandha & Ninra (3 Tiers) posture facing West beneath the sacred Mukunda Vimanam, accompanied by Goddess Vaikunthavalli Thayar. Holy dips or prostrations near the Airavata Pushkarani are believed to bestow peace, prosperity, and Moksha. Throughout the centuries, Chola, Pandya, Pallava, and Vijayanagara rulers contributed मंडपम्स (mandapams), gopurams, and stone inscriptions preserving the daily Pancharatra / Vaikhanasa Agama worship.
